Hiking in Tyrol
Your Sonnalp
Hiking Experience
A mountain view to wake up to. Fresh air to breathe in deeply. And a mountain waiting for you. Step outside and you’re right in the heart of it all: the Kitzbühel Alps right before your eyes, with meadows and trails starting right at your doorstep.
At Sonnalp, the day begins with Stefan—your certified mountain guide.
Someone who knows exactly which trail is right for you.
Active in the Kitzbühel Alps
Not just gone. But truly there.
Not every day of hiking is the same. And that’s a good thing.
Some of you are after the summit—that moment when the world lies beneath you and everything else falls silent. Others seek out the quiet mountain lake that hardly anyone knows about, or the trail that isn’t on Google Maps. Still others just want to get out—to breathe in the fresh air, take in the vastness, and enjoy the silence.
What unites them all: the desire for activities and hobbies that don’t fit into daily life at home.
A vacation filled with purpose, curiosity, and moments of discovery. That’s exactly what Sonnalp is made for.
Certified Mountain Hiking Guide
Stefan, your guide on the mountain
Stefan isn’t just a guide. He’s a hotel manager, a certified mountain guide—and someone who knows every trail, every alpine pasture, and every quiet corner around Kirchberg. Not from a guidebook, but because he’s walked them himself—hundreds of times.
With heart, humor, and a keen sense of the moment, he’ll show you places you won’t find on a map—only by experiencing them firsthand.
“Being in the mountains isn't about arriving, it's about being outdoors. It's about feeling. It's about living. For me, that's pure luxury!”
